Nitya Annadana at Temple
Hare Krishna Golden Temple offers free lunch prasadam to all temple visitors every day from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. This meal includes rice, sambar, sabji, sweet, and buttermilk, served at the Annadana Hall.
Why Food Charity is Important
Giving food to others is considered the best form of charity. Ancient scriptures say that donating food helps a person become free from debts and earn spiritual blessings. Lord Krishna teaches that food supports all life, and those who provide food are giving the most valuable gift.
Prasadam, or food offered to the Supreme Lord, carries spiritual energy that helps purify the mind and bring people closer to God. Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, ensured that prasadam is freely distributed in all ISKCON temples.
Hare Krishna Golden Temple has provided over 1.8 million free prasadam meals.
How You Can Help
You can contribute to this noble effort by volunteering or donating. Currently, prasadam is served in the temple’s Annadaan Hall in the afternoons.
Srila Prabhupada emphasized that everyone should receive prasadam without restrictions because everything is provided by Krishna. He believed that, with good management, food can be served to all who come to the temple.
If you would like to support this program, you can make a donation to help feed more people.
