About Us
Our Main Goals
1. Spreading the Chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra
Our top priority is to encourage everyone to chant the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. This is the recommended spiritual practice for this age, known as the Yuga-dharma. Lord Krishna came as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to start this movement. Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, made it his life’s mission to spread this chanting all over the world. Following his example, we organize programs like the Chanters Club, Harinam Festival, and Flash Mobs to inspire people to chant.
2. Beautiful Deity Worship and Grand Festivals
We also focus on maintaining beautiful worship of Lord Krishna in the temple through Deity service. Srila Prabhupada taught us that the Deity is Krishna Himself and must be served daily with devotion. He wanted the Deities to be beautifully decorated and celebrated with grand festivals. Worshiping the Deity helps us purify our hearts and minds.
3. Spreading Awareness of Srila Prabhupada
Another goal is to help people learn about Srila Prabhupada—his teachings, his life, and his mission. He came as a spiritual guide to show the way back to God. We want more people to understand who he was and what he stood for, by sharing his biography, lectures, books, and more.
4. Distributing Spiritual Books
Srila Prabhupada wrote many books explaining Krishna’s teachings from the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. He started the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust to print and distribute these books worldwide. We encourage people to read and share these books, as it helps them grow in spiritual knowledge.
5. Building a Strong Community of Devotees
We aim to build a community of dedicated devotees who understand and follow Srila Prabhupada’s teachings. We provide facilities, training, and opportunities for people who want to live a spiritual life and serve society.
6. Support from Donors and Patrons
Our work is made possible through the help of donors and patrons. We offer them guidance in spiritual life, invite them to festivals, and celebrate their special days at the temple. Anyone can become a patron and support this mission.
7. Programs for All Sections of Society
We invite everyone—children, youth, professionals, and families—to join our programs that help people live a peaceful and meaningful life. Programs like Cultural Education, FOLK, Life Sublime, and Krishnashraya are offered free of cost.
8. Social Enterprises for Fundraising
Through the Touchstone Foundation, we run businesses that support our charitable work. These include food counters, devotional items, handicrafts, and restaurants like The Higher Taste. All profits are used for our spiritual and social programs.
9. Projects to Promote Indian Culture
We are working on big projects like the Krishna Lila Theme Park to present Indian spiritual culture in a modern and attractive way. These projects use technology and storytelling to teach values and inspire young people.
10. Living in Harmony with Nature
Srila Prabhupada encouraged a simple life close to nature. We follow this through farming projects and by taking care of cows in our goshala (cow shelter). We promote “simple living and high thinking” as a lifestyle.
11. Food Distribution (Prasadam)
Giving sanctified food (prasadam) to others is a very important service. Srila Prabhupada wanted everyone who visits the temple to receive prasadam. We have been doing this since the temple started and now serve lunch daily through our Nitya Annadana program.
