The Hare Krishna movement, also known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is a Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindu religious organization founded in 1966 by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Its core practice involves chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and engaging in devotional service to Krishna
