
Sri Sri Radha Vrindavana Chandra Mandir is a sacred temple where devotees come to worship Lord Krishna and Srimati Radharani. Along with spiritual activities, the temple also runs many programs to help the community and spread spiritual awareness.
Temple Activities:
- Poshak Seva: The temple supports traditional embroidery work like zardosi and aari stitching. Skilled artisans create beautiful dresses for Deities, which are sent to temples worldwide.
- Vraj Sringar: The temple keeps a one-kilometer stretch of Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg clean by removing garbage and maintaining hygiene.
- Yamuna Seva: The temple helps clean the banks of the Yamuna River from Keshi Ghat to Devraha Baba Ghat.
- Annadana (Free Food Service): Free meals, mainly nutritious “khichdi” made of rice, dal, and vegetables, are served daily to poor and needy people.
- Heritage Fest: A yearly festival for school children in Mathura and Agra, with competitions in music, dance, Vedic quizzes, and traditional costumes.
- Gita Fest: A competition for children based on the Bhagavad-gita, including painting, coloring, speeches, and quizzes.
- Youth Program: College students from Mathura and Agra join weekend workshops on yoga, stress management, and spiritual development.
- Kartik Fest: Celebrated in October–November, it promotes Indian classical music and dance.
- Surabhi Kunj (Goshala): The temple maintains a cow shelter with around 15 cows, calves, and bulls of local breeds.
- Prasadam Restaurant: A vegetarian restaurant serves hygienic and tasty food.
- Book Distribution: Books on the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita and other Vedic texts are displayed and sold at affordable prices.
- Feeding Widow Mothers: The temple provides daily meals of rice, roti, sabji, and dal to 400 widowed women, funded by public donations.
The temple is not just a place of worship but also a center for community service, culture, and education, making a positive impact on society.
